Resource constrained innovation in a technology intensive sector: Frugal medical devices from manufacturing firms in South Africa:

Western firm play a huge role in designing the medical devices as they have always been innovative and efficient in their work. However, their focus is always on their own markets, which makes it burdensome for the economy for others by shooting up their import bills. Innovative health studies around the world have been unable to comprehend the difficulties faced by such innovative firms who are playing in their domestic markets and have been found as the rising star of their respective markets. South Africa, with their scarce resources, have evidently surpassed the barriers created by western firms with their own research and investigative approaches. Six devices had been thoroughly tried and tested which have proved that it is not necessary that the innovative devices in the health sector need to have to be expensive rather it is plausible to make such devices with very low-cost components. Those innovation which are suppressed by the barrier to limited sources bring up a motivated group to participate in a challenging atmosphere and come through the barriers with an interesting though process. This process leads to a complete low-cost process starting from the design till the supply chain process which make the complete process innovative rather than just a portion of the process. This evidently proves that innovation is never depended on the circumstances rather it is an driver of bending the circumstances in a way that it can oversee the growth of the technology.
